BULK IN DEMIJOHNS
Our cellar is visited daily by customers from different Italian regions and from neighboring Austria to share the ancient tradition of homemade bottling wine.
Still today we offer the opportunity to buy the wine of many qualities that are labeled, loose in their demijohns.
The choice of bottled wine at home is shared by us especially for the environment in which we live; those who adopt this system does not produce waste because they continually recycle the bottles and does not make use of cardboard for packaging.
The sale of the new wine begins in the period before Easter and continues throughout the year. It is carried out during all the days of week, on Sundays and holidays, the winery is closed.
With the same care with which we prepare our products, we would like to suggest a few tips to ensure that the bottling of the wine characteristics can be preserved in the best way.
When you bring home the demijohns to bottle your wine please follow some basic steps:
- use clean tools and bottles, that must be dry.
- bottle the wine as soon as possible. The demijohns is a great container for transport but the wine should't be left for too long
- Immediately rinse the demijohns and leave upside down because it is running out, once dry, tap it.
- preserve both the bottles and the demijohns in a suitable place, clean, possibly at a constant temperature (ideally between 15 and 20 ° C), the dark and without strong odors
- close the bottles using a cork
- with regard to red wines we suggest to let them rest at least six months during the winter they will be appreciated most.
Another tip is the best time for bottling. Usually you watch the moon phase indicated on most calendars, otherwise you can download and print the lunar calendar by clicking here:
THE NEW MOON is not recommended to work wines!
THE FIRST QUARTER is indicated for the most sparkling wines.
THE LAST FOUR is indicated for bottling when you want to obtain aging wines and sweet wines.
FULL MOON is always favorable to bottling of all types of wine.
